Tripoli_ Libya has been invited to take part in the Mediterranean Dialogue conference due to take place in Rome between 25 and 27 November 2024. The Italian government organizes the conference, which constitutes the tenth edition in a series that began in 2015.
The Libya Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in GNU, Taher Al-Baour, accepted the invitation during a meeting with the Italian Ambassador to Libya Mr. Gianluca Alberini on Thursday in Tripoli.
Both men discussed during the meeting the bilateral relations between Tripoli and Rome and agreed that they are being strengthened in all fields.
Mr. Al-Baour is scheduled to speak at the conference session that is focusing on “Strengthening Health Policies in the Wider Mediterranean”.
The Rome MED Dialogues is promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ISPI (Italian Institute for International Political Studies) is hosted annually in Rome. According to its website, the MED Dialogues “aim to rethink traditional approaches to the area, bringing in new ideas and suggestions as to draft a “positive agenda for the region”.
The program for this year’s edition is rather intensive and rich in that it is timely, involving important topics as well as many renowned speakers.
