Tripoli_ Libya and Kuwait have agreed to reactivate their high-level joint committee which was put on hold since 2011 and vowed to cooperate in all fields.
The agreement came on 5 May during an official visit by the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah to Libya. Mr. Al-Sabah held talks with the Libyan FM Ms. Najla Mangoush in Tripoli who expressed Libya’s desire for closer bilateral relation with Kuwait. The reopening of the Kuwaiti embassy in Tripoli and resuming air flights between the countries were also discussed.
Mr. Al-Sabah noted that both countries share the same views with regard to regional and international issues and that all Security Council resolutions on Libya should be implemented.
