Tripoli_ In a busy street in Qasr Bin Ghashir, a suburb of the Libyan capital Tripoli, a large truck fell on Saturday into a hole causing inconvenience to shoppers at many mobile phones outlets.
Police officers investigating the incident said that a “Dunbar” truck fell in the afternoon into a hole in the street, near a roundabout and that it was pulled out from the whole by the late evening.
According to the police, there had been no significant damage as the hole was an old sewer room the size of 4 meters deep, by 4 meters wide and 12 meters long, belonging to a public facility located next to the street.
The heavy truck seems to have been parked by the driver right on the sewer room without knowing that a huge vacuum was under that pavement spot. No injuries were reported and the truck, too, was not heavily damages and taken immediately to a car shop.
